TLCS (The Tourist and Leisure Companion Sticker)

The TLCS is a sticker that permits free entry to the companion of a person with reduced mobility. To allow everyone to participate in the festivities, FestiBlues accepts this sticker.

Social developement
Besides its involvement in the artistic world, (see Cultural Mediation) FestiBlues continues to work with young people through various social projects. Through activities such as socio-professional integration programs for youth, the FestiBlues allows many young people to get involved in the festival every year. This allows young people to experience the business related aspect of the production and for some, the development of a genuine passion for the industry.

Rap Jeunesse

In collaboration with Rap Jeunesse, an organization devoted to street work in the area,   FestiBlues integrates a dozen young people experiencing difficult life situations into the diverse work teams of the festival. FestiBlues provides them with their first work experiences in positions of site development, enabling them to develop a sense of responsibility as an integral part of the team.

Paradoxe

Every year, FestiBlues welcomes six young people from The Paradoxe Group. This group provides training in the field of audiovisual and stagecraft and as well, promotes employment integration for people 18 to 35 years of age. The youth in this group are assigned to tasks related to the stage, sound, technical and electrical installation. Their contributions and hard work are much appreciated.

Community implication
Our offices are located in the Solidarité Ahuntsic building in which several groups are working to help the community. Thus, we work with a variety of organizations:

SNAC (Service de Nutrition et d'Action Communautaire)

This group is a nonprofit organization that provides food assistance to low-income residents of Ahuntsic. Not only do we give SNAC our food surplus, but have assisted in the organization of a benefit concert.

CANA (Carrefour d'Aide aux Nouveaux Arrivants)

This organization helps with the integration process of new immigrants, notably through language courses. We provide 20 tickets each year for an evening of the festival allowing them to discover their newly adopted lifestyle and to facilitate involvement in their neighborhood.
Others
CSSSAM-N (Centre de santé et de services sociaux d'Ahuntsic et Montréal-Nord)

Every year, we give 5 tickets to the organism who promotes regular sports activities.
Responsible event
FestiBlues endeavors to be a logical eco-friendly event.
